I run into the same problem every year. I get these beautiful Christmas cards from beautiful families and I have no place to display them! They wind up going into a Christmas box, storage tin or I will attempt to hang them on the fridge until I run out of magnets or room.
This week’s DIY is a Christmas card problem solver! It’s quick and easy and looks beautiful, too. This week, I’m sharing our mini Christmas card tree (as shown above). A great way to display those Christmas cards for you and your guests to see as they walk in!
you will need:
- mini Christmas tree (my tree is from target and sold out, but I’m linking similar).
- bow (for top of tree – optional)
- single hole puncher
- red yarn
- scissors
how to:
- fluff tree and separate branches to create room for cards
- add Christmas bow to top of tree
- hole punch top of each Christmas card
- cut strand of yarn – about 4-5 inches (enough yarn to double knot).
- place yarn through hole punched card and double knot. Hang on the tree like you would a Christmas ornament.
That’s it! It’s simple, it’s easy and it looks beautiful displayed. Send me your Christmas card trees! I’d love to see them :).
