Perfect, Palm Beach…a town right out of a Lily Pulitzer catalog. This town has it all. Lots of entertainment, shopping galore, beautiful sandy beaches and Instagram worthy hotels. A place to see and be seen. There’s glitz and there’s glam and there’s something for everyone!
Now, I’m no pro on Palm Beach, but during our last trip, we spent the day. I got a bit of the lay of the land. I’ve also done my research (something I enjoy doing before any trip!). This blog is casual, bullet points and right to the point. So, let’s talk where to stay, where to eat and what to do in Palm Beach!
Where to Stay
- The Breakers – Ok, a one night stay at The Breakers comes with a HEFTY price…I mean, they don’t call it a luxury hotel for nothing, but with that being said, no Palm Beach travel guide would be complete without adding The Breakers under the where to stay category. It’s quintessential Palm Beach. Even if you’re not staying, you can simply take a tour of the massive grounds. Make a stop at the bar and shops!
- The Colony Hotel – Also expensive, but what a sight to see! A hotel that’s completely covered in my favorite color?! Sign me up! We stopped by for lunch and this hotel brought me so much joy. From the lobby, completely covered in pink and green palm, to the bikes with the baskets outside to the pink golf cart!
- Hilton West Palm Beach – Right off the Island of Palm Beach, but still in a great spot with great reviews. And everyone raves about the pool!
Where to Eat
- Swifty’s – This restaurant is poolside at the colony hotel. Go for lunch and be sure to order the frosé and colony club!
- Café Boulud – We passed this restaurant on the way to The Colony. It looked like a Parisian Café! A perfect outdoor/indoor spot where you can enjoy your meal and take in the streets of Palm Beach.
- Al Fresco – Apparently, pizza with a view! With just one google search, this restaurant came up multiple times as having thee best pizza. People are also advised to make a reservation.
- Ta-boo – recommended by a friend. You can stop by after the shops on Worth Ave!
- Seafood Bar at the Breakers – Go for the food, stay for the view! This is where we stopped to have our afternoon drink. The back end of the restaurant is all windows looking out to the ocean. It’s just spectacular. The bar was an actual aquarium with tiny little fish swimming around!
- Restoration Hardware West Palm Beach – a great lunch spot! Get the truffle fries and matcha latte. Make sure you have a reservation and walk the store afterwards.
What to Do
- Beaches – of course they have miles of white, sandy beaches.
- window shop on Worth Avenue – The shops are truly a sight to see. Make sure you go into the Lily Pulitzer (their flagship store)! Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Tiffany’s and many more.
- Henry Morrison Flagler Museum – You can take the walking path from The Breakers to this Gilded Age mansion turned museum. Take a tour through this lavish home.
- Walk or bike the Palm Beach Lake Trail
- The Breakers – go back to the breakers for a spa day, bike ride or make a stop at Mary Lily’s their ice cream shop! Or check out their golf course! It’s the oldest in Florida.
